TBIO National Essay Contest - Deadline June 30, 2008
During this historical year in U.S politics we are challenging students to enter our Essay Contest. Students ages 12-16 from all over the world have an opportunity to express their creativity and help build awareness of "Turn Beauty Inside Out" by writing their essay to answer this question:

"There have been arguments that the media has portrayed/covered the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign differently because she is a woman. Do you agree with that statement? Why or Why not?"

Essays must be 500 words or less and received by June 30, 2008 via email to tbio@mindonthemedia.org .
1st Prize - $200 2nd Prize - $100 3rd Prize - $50
The winning essay will be distributed nationally during our campaign, as we challenge others to analyze the messages that are sent by the media. Use your creativity - be original!
 

 
TBIO National Leadership Summit - October 17, 2008 - St. Paul, MN
This year, Turn Beauty Inside Out challenges girls & boys to participate in politics. On October 17, 2008 in St. Paul, Minnesota we're welcoming teens (girls and boys ages 12-17) plus parents, mentors, chaperones, youth professionals and advocates. It's going to be an amazing day packed with thought-provoking workshops. This conference will be based around many workshops including topics of: Women as Political Role Models, Understanding the Influence of Media in Politics, Becoming Effective Citizen Leaders, Engaging People for Action, Developing Best Practices and What Should the Media Do Differently for You.
